TPD1S414: compete again ET9531

Part Number: TPD1S414

Hi Team,

Customer is using ET9531(http://www.etek.com.cn/product.asp?ID=245) in their product, at the USB input port. They need a OVP threshold at 5.9V, same with ET9531. However TPD1s414 has 6.2V typical OVP voltage; The also need power good or ACK, TPS1S514 doesn't get power good. Could you suggest the proper part to compete with ET9531?

    Hello Will,

    TPD1S414 is the proper part to suggest against the ET9531. Yes, the OVP threshold is slightly higher, but the TPD1S414 has a smaller package, IEC 61000-4-5 certified as well, and has a 39 mOhm Rdson.

    Is your customer using the 5.9V OVP threshold? The ET9531 has the ability to have a 0.3V higher OVP threshold based on resistors connected to the OVLO pin.
