Part Number: DS26LV32AT
Are there any built-in protection diodes on the RS-422 pins of the DS26LV32AT quad differential line receiver chip? If there are, are they connected to ground or VCC (or both), and at what voltage do they start to turn on?

Michael,
I was able to check this in the lab. There are protection diodes on the pins of the DS26LV32AT device, they are connected to both VCC and GND, and they turn on around 0.5V.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Eric,
Are the diodes on the RS-422 input pins? If they are then I don't understand how the part can meet the common mode requirement of +/-7V (VID=3V) or +/-10V (VID=0.2V). I think the diodes would limit the common mode voltage to between -0.5V and +3.8V (VCC=3.3V).
Michael.
Michael,
My apologies for the delay, no, the diodes are on the outputs only. The inputs don't have the protection diodes internally. Thank you for your patience.
