ESD401: usage in 5V power line

Hello

can we use ESD401 protection diode on 5V power line that will carry not more than 50mA current.

Or please suggest 5V power line ESD and Surge protection with smallest possible size.

    Hi Raghu,

    The ESD401 device has a working voltage of 5.5V so it will be capable of protecting your power line. The ESD401 offers level 4 ESD protection in accordance to IEC61000-4-2 and surge protection for up to 4.5A per IEC61000-4-5. Additionally it also offers a low capacitance of 0.77pF making it capable to protect high speed data lines. The device is offered in the 0402 package to provide protection for small designs.
