DS125BR820: RX detect for DS125BR820

Part Number: DS125BR820

Hi team,

Could you please share more information about RX detect?

whether it means for PCIE, the 50ohm need to be put at the source side, for SATA, the 50ohm need to be put at DS125BR820 RX side? Thanks.

  • Hi Frank,

For PCIe applications we recommend the default setting (RXDET = Float).  This allows the redriver to detect for valid PCIe System component terminations and replicate the detection results on its own input terminations.

For SAS/SATA applications RXDET is not needed as part of the system protocol.  For SAS/SATA we recommend to use RXDET = 1.

    Regards,

    Lee
