Part Number: SN65HVD82
What's the Air-gap Discharge Level of SN65HVD82? It's not mentioned in datasheet.
Since (per the IEC 61000-4-2 standard) air-gap testing is less repeatable and can be more system-dependent, sometimes it is not specified in component datasheets. Section 9.1.7 of the SN65HVD82 datasheet mentions this and says that air gap immunity levels can be inferred from the contact discharge levels. Typically you could expect air-gap ESD tolerance to equal or exceed the contact ESD tolerance. So, you could generally expect it to be at least 12 kV for this device but it should ultimately be evaluated in the end application.
By the way, if you are considering SN65HVD82 I would suggest looking at the THVD1510 as well. It is a newer device that is p2p compatible and specifies 25 kV IEC 61000-4-2 air gap discharge.
