Hello,

I am space/cost limited on my design and i want to know is it possible single TPD8S300 to protect 2 USB Type-C ports?

The design is for power bank and SBU1 SBU2 pins on both of the ports are not used. Can i use those pins on TPD8S300 to connect second USB port CC1 and CC2 pins?

    Hello,

    I would not recommend this since the behavior of the SBU and CC lines are different from one another, the protection is not a direct 1 to 1 replacement. If you are concerned about size, you could use the TPD2S300 which only provides CC protection. You could connect one TPS2S300 for each Type-C port
