 Sorry maybe this log is belong to our test for GPIO control for finding the rule for abnormal GPIO condition. About GPIO21, it's always 0 if we don't assign its initial value to 1. And, I think initial will be change if the event is change right? 

 Do you have idea why 987 GPIO can't be work with its mapped event?

I changed the GPIO21 to different event but still always get 0. 
And now , when I use GUI to flash read no issue, but when I flash from binary file or flash from  current project or flash erase all got the problem the GUI stop on erasing Device....

Hi Jacky,

How do you test the cable orientation ? if you change the inset orientation of the cable into the EVM, it should not have problem. You can't remain the cable on the EVM, just change the orientation on device side. It is hard to debug the EVM issues, try to strictly follow the user guide when using the EVM and GUI.

No any update, still pending on erasing spi flash.

I use cable to connect between FTDI's SPI FLASH header to my TPS65987D's SPI FLAHS header, My O.S is Windows ,could you advise how about FTDI USB driver version ?

I design GPIO2 for OVC function and it workable when load current over 3A then GPIO2 changed to high, but when load not over 3A and plug-out load the GPIO2 still change to high.

I attached my *.pjt file could you please check and give me some suggestion? 

And I still can't use FTDI USB bridge board to flash my TPS65987D SPI flash.

Hi Jacky,

when OVC occured, the GPIO will be asserted, and it will not be release even the OVC removed. you can relesae the GPIO asserted by reset the IC.

My step as below.

1. Design GPIO2 to OVC setting

2. Program bin file to SPI Flash

3. Power On TPS65987D -->measuring GPIO2 got Low

4. Attached device to TPS65987D-->measuring GPIO2 got Low

5. Adjustment device load to over 3A-->measuring GPIO2 got High

6. Power Off TPS65987D

7.  Power On TPS65987D -->measuring GPIO2 got Low

8. Attached device to TPS65987D-->measuring GPIO2 got Low

9. unplug device from TPS65987D-->measuring GPIO2 got High

I think on step 6 the TPS65987D already got the reset.

I am very for this, I have submit this issues to our FW team, but after their initial inquiry, there was no further update, even though I urged several times. Now they may don't have the bandwidth to deal with it quickly. Can you avoid this problem in other ways, such as using cable plug signals to make judgments together.

I'm very happy to tell you that our FW team reply the solution to me just now. You need set the initial value to 1, then it can work well under pull-push mode and open-drain mode. i have verified it on the EVM. You can use any GPIO you like.

But about your update that I need your more explanation.
When the Initial value set to 0x1, that mean the GPIO pin default status is high right ?

The active state of FaultZ is low, so it is conflict to set the initial value to 0x0. the default status of GPIO pin can be set by the initial value and the GPIO polarity.
