Hi,
The recommended supply voltage for SN65176B is 4.75V to 5.25V. What will happen if the voltage is slightly lower than 4.75V for a short time?

Lenna,
Do you know the reason of voltage dripping? I don't think it would not impact SN65176B operation although. If the voltage goes as low as 4.5V, the device may not be able to meet all the spec on datasheet such as Vod, or some timing spec. BTW, if you're interested, there are many recently released RS-485 transceivers and some are pin 2 pin replacement to SN65176B, like THVD1520.
