Hi Team,Our customer is looking for the output impedance of SN65HVD30MDREP.I see information in the datasheet "RS-485 driver output impedance is on the order of 10 Ω to 30 Ω" but is not specified in the electrical characteristics.If they want to use serial termination for 100-ohms what is the recommended series resistor values considering the driver output impedance for the Z and Y pins for this device?Please let me know if you need clarifications from the customer.Thanks!Jonathan
The high-side and low-side driver source impedances for this device are nominally 10 Ohms. (Although not directly specified as an Electrical Characteristic, it can be inferred based on Figures 6 and 7.) So, in this case you could try source-side series termination of 40 Ohms on each line.
