Hi Expert,

Customer would have two DS110DF111s and two CPUs on the board. One is between CPUs, another one is between CPU and SFP+. May I learn from you if the system block connection is correct to set both two retimers to be master mode with their individual EEPROM? Can they share the same EEPROM?

Thanks,

Allan

  • Hi Allan,

They can share the same EEPROM as long as they are both expected to power-up and power-down at the same time.  Here is a link to an applications note on how to implement this type of application.

We have a nice GUI which is very helpful to help create the EEPROM data needed to program the retimers.

You can download the GUI and the retimer profiles at the link above.

    Regards,

    Lee
