Part Number: TIC12400-Q1

Hi ,

I'm trying to config tic12400's CS_SELECT register,but its value dosen't change no matter what i write in to it,it will always return value 0.The other registers are  writable and results are also correct.

  • Hi Vector,

Can you provide some details on how you are using the TIC12400-Q1?

Are you monitoring grounds connected switches or battery connected switches?

Please see details Steps to Configure TIC12400-Q1 Multiple Switch Detection Interface (MSDI) to configure this register.

    Thanks

    Saminah

I am also facing the same problem... I am able to use any 1 pin from IN0-IN9  as switch to sink but when I write to more than 1 pin as source to sink then all the bit overwrite to zero.

    Hi Ali

Can you help answer questions in the e2e to help understand the issue.

The TIC12400-Q1 works as desired when bits 9 - 0 of the CS_SELECT register are 0, "0000000000", and when  only 1 of the bits 9 - 0 are 1 for example, "0000010000", but you run into an issue when you try to write more than one "1" bit into the register it resets back to "0000000000".

Is that what you are seeing at your end?

    1. Are you having trouble writing to other registers on the TIC12400-Q1 or just this one?

    2. How are you writing data to the CS_SELECT register, are you doing it all at once or are you writing one bit to the register at a time?

    Thanks

    Saminah

  • In reply to Saminah C:

Yes, you understand correct my question.

    1. As of now, I am having trouble to write only this register because I can write IN_EN, CONFIG,MODE,WETTING CURRENT1 & 2,INT_EN_COMP1 and 2 properly.

2.I am writing whole register at a time.

    Hi Ali, Vector

I will close this thread as we have similar discussion on this e2e to help resolve similar issue.

    Regards

    Saminah
