TPS65988: PD re-negotiation of the VBUS line

Hi,

I need to know whether the re-negotiation of port 1 VBUS line can happen based upon any GPIO event?

For example,

If Port 2 is acting as the SOURCE to the system, an external adapter is connected to Port 1 and now Port 1 needs to act as the SOURCE.

Now, I have input from both Port 1 and Port 2, and I am planning to give priority to Port 1.

So, I don't need power from Port 2, Can I trigger renegotiation to make it deliver the default (5V/500mA or 900mA) or any other way that I don't draw from Port 2 (by opening the internal switch PPHV2-VBUS2)?

Hi,

Yes, you can use SRYR 4CC command to open the current sink path. PD controller can be configured to issue SRYR using App Config feature.
