Hi E2E,

I was reading the datasheet and I saw Figure 4. showed input was 3V.

tPTHL than was measured from 3V to -3V.

If the input is 3.3V or 5V, should the tPTHL be measured from 3V to -3V also?

If I am wrong, please help to clarify it.

It's a good question. From the datasheet specification point of view, tPTHL or tPTLH are measured from -3V to 3V no matter what the input voltage is. The -3V to 3V is defined as the transition region for the slew rate definition by the RS-232 standard. You can find very detailed discussion (Figure 3) in this app note.
