TPD2E2U06-Q1: IEEE 100BASE-T1

Part Number: TPD2E2U06-Q1

Hi TI-team

My customer has a question.

They think this part is a diode that can be used in Ethernet for vehicles.

Is the following satisfied ?

-      OPEN ALLIANCE:IEEE 100BASE-T1 EMC Test Specification for ESD suppression devices

Best Regards,

Koji Hayashi

  • Hi Koji,

    Welcome to E2E!

I am not acquainted with the Open Alliance: IEEE 100BASE-T1 EMC Test Specification for ESD suppression devices, but from I can find online this specification validates the specs of an ESD device. From looking to a document on it I found online the specification seems to apply on ESD devices placed before the transformer, but our ESD are recommended to be placed after the transformer transformer and the PHY. Would you be able to provide more information on this specification and the customer main concerns?

Although our device were not tested per the specification this device does support Ethernet applications and has been tested per some of the standards mentioned in the Open Alliance document like the IEC 61000-4-2 ESD test. You can find all the standards our device was tested against in this link.

    Best regards,

    Andy Robles
