Hi Team,

We don't use HDCP features in the UH device. And we saw the the question refer to TIe2e. (https://e2e.ti.com/support/interface/f/138/t/882415?keyMatch=UH%20UB%20DEVICE&tisearch=Search-EN-everything)

And now we have two questions showing as below. Our scenario is using serializer to do the pattern generation feature and pass through the deserializer to display.

1. UH949A-Q1 + UB948-Q1, could this pair work? Do we need to set up any hardware setting or software setting?

2. UH947-Q1 + UB948-Q1, I consider this pair could work as above e2e thread. Do we need to set up any hardware setting or software setting?

Hello Roy,

There is no special configuration needed to link those device pairs. Just do not attempt to enable any of the HDCP features shown in the UH datasheets (these are not active by default)

I would like to double check if UH949A-Q1 + UB948-Q1 could be used in pattern generation. (because HDCP does not active by default) is it right?
