DP83TC811R-Q1: Master gets not link

Dear Support-Members,

I have two boards with a DP83TC811R-Q1 Ethernet-Phy. One phy is configured as master the other as slave. Both phys are in autonoumous mode. When I connect these boards together, the slave gets a link but the master do not. When I connect the boards to a T1-Switch, both boards get a link.

How can I get a link to the master, when both boards are connected directly together without using a switch?

Can you please share the schematic and how you are configuring both devices as master and slave?

This is the shematic for the phy with the master configuration. For the slave R16, R17 and D2 are not populated.

Thanks for sharing this I'll need a day to review the schematic. And just to confirm, what type of cables, what length and what type of connector are you using between the master and slave devices?
