DS280DF810: FEC RS-544 supported?

Part Number: DS280DF810

Hi,

we are looking for a retimer(repeater) with croospoint function, so want to learn some issues of DS280DF810 as following.

could you please give some comments?

thanks a lot.

1, If the interface rate is 26.5625G, can RS 544 be supported for transparent transmission? If not, is the regenerated data the same as the original data?

2, Can the FEC pass-through function be supported when CDR enabled?

3, In the case of FEC pass-through, what is the supported insertion loss?

4, What is the jitter in pass-through and non-pass-through cases?

  • 1, If the interface rate is 26.5625G, can RS 544 be supported for transparent transmission? If not, is the regenerated data the same as the original data?

    • The retimer does not implement FEC termination. But it will pass through any FEC data input to it

2, Can the FEC pass-through function be supported when CDR enabled?

    • yes

3, In the case of FEC pass-through, what is the supported insertion loss?

    • Same as non-FEC case

4, What is the jitter in pass-through and non-pass-through cases?

    • Same as non-FEC case

    Cordially,
