TUSB8042: Using without EEPROM

Part Number: TUSB8042

I want to use this part to expand one USB3.1 port from the CPU to 4 ports.

I can't be sure, but it looks like I don't need to connect I2C or an external EEPROM.

I want to be able to control the current limit on 3 of the ports and don't want to have to program the part.

Can the part be used with default settings without programming?
