Dear Team,

Thanks in advance.

We are using Camera Ser/Des DS90UB913A-Q1/ DS90UB964-Q1 and Display SerDes DS90UB921/DS90UB926 in one of the application. In the datasheet it is mentioned as capable of driving up to 15m Coaxial and 20m STP cables. It is working fine without signal distortion. We would like to increase the cable length to 30m. Is there any signal booster for the SerDes or please suggest us any solutions to increase cable length to 30m without distorting the signal.

    Hi Nagaraju,

    You can use a 913 and 914 as a repeater between the 913 and the 964. The system would look like this: 913 --15m cable--> 913->914 --15m cable--> 964.

    You can use the same with the 921 and 926. The Issue you need to take into account is that you need to make sure that both 914's/926's output jitter on the PCLK is within the 913's/961's input PCLK jitter requirement. The additional repeater will add jitter that could cause the Deserializers to improperly sample the data if there is not a jitter cleaner between the SER and DES at the repeater.
