DS92LV18: LVDS drivers shorted out

I am using a DS92LV18 for communciations on several different projects that use LVDS driver/receivers (ds25br120, ds92lv18). We are using a PCB master connection to 4 other PCB.

Most of our LVDS chips have been going bad for the past couple months. Has anyone experienced any issues similar with this?

Haven't seen this type of issue before. Which particular device is going bad? Can you share your schematic?

See Above for pictures. The LDS Drivers are going bad in almost all our boards. We are not sure if Hot swapping the SerDes link might be the cause of that issue.

Hi Karl,

Yeah it could be hot swapping that's causing this. When you hot swap the SerDes link, are GND and VCC connected on all devices before the signals are connected?
