Hi,

In the below block, can ASIL-C be realized in the system level?

MCU(ASIL-C) -> TCAN1042 -> current sensor(ASIL-C)

If it is, could you recommend the reference design for ASIL-D based on TCAN1042-Q1 for below block?

If not, could you let me know which function or block has to be added?

    Hi David,

    TI provides a document outlining functional safety information and considerations for customers to use in their evaluation. This report can be found under the "Technical Documentation" section on the product page on ti.com or through the link here. 

    A list of available reference designs is also available on ti.com under the "CAN and LIN transceivers and SBCs" section. You can filter through these designs to find one similar to what the customer design is targetting. Link.
