Hi team,
Our customer wants to estimate the maximum power consumption of TUSB217-Q1, but the static current is not given in the datasheet. Do you have a more accurate estimation method ? how to give further guidance to the customer?

Hi Amy,
Not sure I understand is the customer looking to estimate the max current consumption under a specific condition? 36 mA is the maximum amount of current TUSB217-Q1 will consume in its highest power state, High speed mode (active or idle).
Hi Malik,
Thanks for your reply. I'm sorry I didn't make clear the customer's needs. The customer wants to estimate the power dissipation of TUSB217-Q1. Then estimate the actual temperature rise and a junction temperature. I know that the static current of the chip is usually used to calculate, but TUSB217-Q1 does not give the static current value.
Hi Amy,
There is already a maximum junction temperature spec the customer can refer to in section 6.3 Recommended Operating Conditions of the datasheet. Otherwise the maximum power dissipation of TUSB217-Q1 should be 36 mA * Vcc (2.3-6.5V) in high seed mode. Typically RSTN is not controlled so the maximum power dissipation based on quiescent current is 1.4 mA (IDISCONN max) * Vcc (2.3-6.5V). Please let me know if this is what you are looking for.
