Hi there,

My customer is considering using the circuit below to control the on/off of CC line. Is there any problem?

And capacitors are used on CC lines, the datasheet of TPD6S300 suggests that total capacitance for proper USB PD BMC operation should be less than 600pF, then for USB type-C operation, is there any limitation for capacitance?

Hello Zeming,

I would recommend using the TPD6S300A as it has improved dead battery performance and the USB Type-C port stays connected during an IEC 61000-4-2 ESD strike. It is pin to pin compatible with the TPD6S300. I see no other issue with this implementation.

I would follow the Table 5 example in the datasheet for how to calculate the line capacitance needed. The maximum capacitance on the line should be less than 600pF.
