TCAN1044V-Q1: Bus bias reaction time

Part Number: TCAN1044V-Q1

Hello Team,

I got question from customer about Bus bias reaction time of CAN-FD standard.

From them, ISO11898-2 P.20 mentions the spec requirement for Bus bias reaction time.

They want to confirm if TCAN1044V-Q1 comply with the requirement. Which spec should we see in the datasheet?

Thanks,

Yuta Kurimoto

  • Kurimoto-san,

We are looking into this and will get back to you by tomorrow US time. Thank you for your patience.

  • Hi Kurimoto-san,

The bus reaction time is defined in the ISO 11898-2 standard as the time from the start of the WUP until a reaction is seen on the CAN bus. For this device, this time can be estimated as the sum of three tWK_FILTER times (for dominant-recessive-dominant pattern), plus the tMODE time required to switch between standby and normal mode. Using maximum specified timing values for this device, this time will be under 24us. The ISO 11898-2 specification defines a maximum time of 250us for this parameter.

Let me know if this is sufficient to answer your customer's question.
