TPS65987EVM: TPS65987EVM : How to connect to Application Customization Tool

Dear support team,

We purchased a TPS65987 EVM last week.
- the EVM is powerd by 20V
- other setting are default
I connected my smartphone to the type-C connector of EVM and I confirmed that the smartphone can be charged by above condition.

However, even if I connect the PC to the mircoUSB connector and start the Application Customization Tool, I cannot see the board configuration at all.
I tried to monitor the I2C waveform and confirmed that it was not output. Of course, I have confirmed that the FTDI port is visible in the device manager of the PC.

Please let me know how to check the board configuration of the EVM with the Application Customization Tool.

Hi,

What do you mean by "cannot see the board configuration at all"?

Have you ever started a new project or loaded an existed project? Only if you start a project will you see all the setting tabs.

I have ever loaded a new project or an existed project.
However, I would like to read the default configuration written to EVM and display on GUI.
If this operation can be possible please let me know how to do it.

Yes, it can be obtained as below:

And if the correct I2C address has been set, you can read the configuration from EVM. And you can read it twice to assure the read-back is correct.

And after read back the setting, the value of configuration won't change directly; you need to click to other registers to let the GUI refresh the setting.

I was able to read the configuration of the EVM to the procedure presented.
