MAX3232: MAX3232 logical detection

Part Number: MAX3232

Hello

I have one question for MAX3232IPWR.
This has crosstalk issue with floating of  2 meter RS-232 cable
So we want add damping resistor 2K ohm at MAX3232IPWR's pin8(RIN2) & pin7(T2OUT) to prevent the TXD/RXD crosstalk issue, do you think it is okay?

How about thr minimum voltage for VIT+/VIT- of pin8?
If we used 2K ohm, does it has side effict?

  • Even,

Because there is a 5k ohm pull-down on R2IN, a voltage divider may be created and attenuate the input signal. With a 2k ohm series resistor, the signal seen by R2IN would be ~71% of the full signal. Is it possible to lower the series resistor value? Also, has this been tested yet?

    Regards,
