Hi Team,

Greeting! There is one question from customer about adding TVS in RS-485 interface. Customer wants to check with us whether it's necessary to add TVS diode between pin6 and pin7 from your experienced knowledge. The schematic is attached below.

    The decision is case by case. The TVS diode between the bus pins is applied either the customer finds the need in applications or there is such requirement in system level test. I would say this practice is not very common in the majority of applications.
