Part Number: LMH0397

Dear colleague,

The customer saw in the data sheet, LMH0397 also compatible with DVB_ASI.

So they want to know whether need to pay attention to something in designing?

Is the designed circuit the same as SDI receiving and transmitting?

Thanks a lot!

Best Regards,

Rock Su

    Hi Rock,

    It is the same.

DVB_ASI is the same as SMPTE259 or 270Mbps data rate and LMH0297 device is compatible with this spec. DVB_ASI has two differences:

a). It uses 8/10 bit coding

b). It is polarity sensitive. This means positive differential 100-ohm output or input goes to the positive or negative differential input or output of the FPGA or ASIC respectively.

    Regards,, Nasser
