TPS65987D: About way to disable dead battery mode

Dear support members,

We have confirmed that the TPS65987D may be working although no voltage is applied to VIN_3V3.At this time, since an external battery is connected to VBUS1 and VBUS2, I guess that it is operating as a dead battery mode.
However in our system, we would not like to work the TPS65987D in dead battery conditions.
Please let me know how to set the configuration to disable the operation in the dead battery condition.

Hello,

You cannot configure 88/87DDH to disable dead-battery as its controlled by ROM code. However, there is a way to achieve it by configuring ESD protection device TPD6S300 not to present Rd.

If dead battery resistors are not needed, short RPD_G2 and RPD_G1 pins to GND.
