TCAN4550: Leak current.

Hi team,

Could you tell me about ISUP(Sleep mode).
According to the data sheet, ISUP(Sleep mode) requires VIO = 0.
When VIO=5V, is Isup + IVIO ?

Finally, please let me know a device that more a super low current than TCAN4550.
It is planned to be installed in battery equipment and is extremely strict in current consumption.

Sincerely.
Kengo.

  • Kengo,

Any current consumed from VIO in sleep mode would be due to any external pull-ups on the GPO2 pin or the nINT pin. The VIO supply powers the SPI IO, GPIO1, GPO2, and the clock and oscillator circuits. Since these are all disabled in sleep mode, there shouldn't be any current consumption on VIO internal to the device.

Unfortunately, the TCAN4550-Q1 and TCAN4551-Q1 both have the same current consumption values and are the only devices in our portfolio that serve this same function. Are you looking for a lower power consuming CAN transceiver, or the controller + CAN transceiver?

    Regards,
