PCA9534 vs PCA9534A I2C address

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCA9534A, PCA9534

Hi all,

Our device has got this port expander in order to enable/disable a switch.

The first purchase we made was the PCA9534A which has the I2C address (0x38) and in the package is written ZVJTI 42KDONS (this works). We then made another purchase of the port expander but in the package this time was written ZVJTI 52KAHGH. We assume that we have bought the PCA9534 but when I try to configure the slave address (0x20) it doesn't work.

My question is Can you please tell me if the ZVJTI 52KAHGH package is related to the PCA9534?

Thanks

  • Hi Conrad,

    Thanks for the question.

The information that you've provided for PCA9534 and PCA9534A seem to be the manufacturing information of the device. You can find the information to confirm your question at www.ti.com/.../partlookup.tsp.

There are three rows of marking usually:
The first row says what the part is, you can look it up using the link I've provided above.
The second and third row show the manufacturing information (what you've provided).

    Thanks,
    Siby
