TPD3S014: withstand backward flowing DC?

Part Number: TPD3S014

I might have a case where 5 volts will be applied from a host PC to the type A connector connected to the TPD3S014 out pin. Would this chip be able to withstand backward flowing DC is it recommended to place a low Vf diode so current can only flow out?

This application should be ok, there are controls inside of the device so that no current should flow. However, to be safe it is not a bad idea to place a low Vf diode to prevent reverse current flow just to be double sure.

    Thanks,
