SN65LVDS4: Power Supply Recommendation for proper Device Operation

Part Number: SN65LVDS4

Hello,

Datasheet of this part states that VCC should be powered up before VDD or at the same time for proper device operation.

Could you please elaborate proper device operation? Would it just take more current, it will damage the part or not function at all?

How tolerable would it be if VDD came up before VCC?

Thank you,

Ishani

VCC is the core voltage while the VDD is the output I/O voltage. Please follow the datasheet recommendation and have the VDD up first, and then VCC, or have them coming up at the same time.

If the VCC is up before the VDD, we can not guarantee the operation condition of the device.

    Thanks

    David
