SIGCONARCHITECT: Changing USB2ANY SMBUS Frequency in LHM1297 Profile

Part Number: SIGCONARCHITECT
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: USB2ANY, LMH1297

Greetings,

I have connected a USB2ANY dongle to a customer board using several LMH1297 devices.  I have successfully connected to 1 of the devices using SigConArchitect, but the other 3 provide some incorrect register values and do not behave correctly.  I believe I have an SI issue with the I2C bus and would like to slow it down to 100kHz.  My default sigconartitect using 400kHz and does not provide an option to set the I2C frequency.  Is there anyway to do this?

Thanks

  • Hi Randy,

We cannot reduce I2C clock rate on LMH1297 GUI. Having said this, we have not observed I2C problem communicating with multiple parts as long as each has a different I2C address. Also, USB2ANY software allows you to reduce I2C clock rate and then you can use it to write or read from different LMH1297 registers.

    Regards,, Nasser
