Hello team,

My customer has a question for DP83TC811S-Q1.

In the case of Ethernet such as 100BASE, a pulse transformer is often used, but the datasheet has only capacitor coupling example.
Can we also use a pulse transformer?

    Hi Shotaro,

    Yes, a pulse transformer can be used to isolate the MDI signals of the PHY.

    We have spot checked the DP83TC811 performance with magnetics instead of capacitive coupling and seen that it does not seem to impact the cable reach performance.
