Is this chip has a default configuration if without software operation?

Without software operation, is the signal path unobstructed? The signal can still pass through the DS250DF810?

At these high speed data rate, it is highly recommended to use SMBus interface to tune the device for proper system/application environment. Device has a default setting but given the high speed data rate it needs to be tuned for optimum operation.
