Why focus the insert loss at Nyquist frequency?

Hi

I would like to ask a question about S parameter and insert loss.

Why should I look at the insert loss at the Nyquist frequency? For example: the serialization transmission rate of my FPD-LINK is 2Gbps, and the serialization frequency is 2Gbps/2=1GHz (is this calculation correct? Please correct me also), then I should pay attention to the interpolation loss at 1GHz, why is it introduced in the video Should we pay attention to the Nyquist frequency, which is twice the interpolation loss at 1GHz and 2GHz?
