Hello,
The below Linux Driver of Ethernet PHY is above Linux 4.
And our customer used the Linux 3.10 and found that it has no definition of genphy_soft_reset. So do we have the linux 3.10 driver for reference?
Best regards
Kailyn

Hi Kailyn,
If you can use the DP83822 linux driver, which has been more recently updated, it should contain the necessary information to fix this small bug. Let me know if you have any troubles with this!
Thanks,
Lysny
Dear Lysny,
Thank you very much for your reply. Is DP83822 Linux driver compatible with DP83848K Linux driver?
Best regards
Kailyn
Hi Kailyn,
No because the register set for the 822 does not perfectly match the 848.
Thanks,
Lysny
Hello Lysny,
Thank you for your reply ,so our customer used DP83848K and met the problem as posted, and DP83848's Linux driver is not compatible with DP83822, why you suggested to use DP83822 to fix this bug? I am sorry I didn't understand completely.
Best regards
Kailyn
Hi Kailyn,
Oh, sorry. I guess I wasn't clear enough. I was recommend referencing the DP83822 driver in order to copy over the missing / incorrect terms objects! The DP83822 driver is more up-to-date then the DP83848, so I was suggesting that the faster way to fix the bug is to search for the terms that toggle errors in the 822 driver and add those definitions to the 848 driver! Does that make sense?
Thanks,
Lysny
Hi Lysny,
Thank you very much for your reply, I understand now, and I would advise our customer to do it according to your opinion.
Best regards
