DS90UB949-Q1EVM: Is it possible to connect to the DS90UB954-Q1?

I have both the DS90UB953-Q1 and the DS90UB954-Q1 and I am trying to test their functionality without using the host microcontroller. I have a DS90UB949-Q1EVM  and I'd like to use it to test the back channel functionality of the FPD-link3 part in my design. Is it possible to connect this EVM to my design to test this functionality or will I need a different EVM?

    Hello,
    I am not sure why you want to connect the 949 EVM to the 954 to test the back channel. These are IVI and ADAS serializer/deserializer respectively so not compatible with each other.
    You can use the 953 and 954 to test the back channel through BIST mode. Refer to the 953 datasheet back channel diagnostics section for additional information.
