Hi ,

I need to know the supply current for the TRSF3223EIPW part that I have selected ,

Also if any protection(EFT, short circuit ) is required please suggest with recommended part for the above selected part.

I need to know , If I need to connect the RTS, CTS signals along with TX, RX of my UART then to which pin should I connect RTS & CTS signals?

Please help.

Karthik,

The power dissipation of TRSF3232E depends on several factors, such as data rate, load capacitance and channel numbers. You can use this data as a reference.

For protection, you can use TVS diodes with 10-12V stand off voltage. This blog (https://e2e.ti.com/blogs_/b/industrial_strength/archive/2017/11/13/how-to-choose-a-tvs-diode-for-rs-232-rs-485-and-can-based-on-voltage-ratings) might be helpful.

You can connect RTS to one of the DOUT and CTS to one of the RIN.

Hi Hao,

I have the same question regarding the TRSF3223EIPW , but it looks like you reference the *TRSF3232E* instead of TRSF3223E. Is the graph the same for these two devices or was this just a typo and it should have been TRSF3223e?

Thanks for pointing it out. It was a typo. I meant TRSF3223E, although I think the power dissipation of the two devices should be similar too. Please let me know if you have more questions.
