Dear team,

My customer is using MAX3232 RS232 Driver/Receiver. They asked about that if the IN/OUT pin, like pin10/pin7 are not used, how to configure them? Thanks.

    Hi Rory,

    Unused DOUT, RIN, or ROUT pins can be left floating. Unused DIN pins should be pulled to ground or VCC. (If these pins are left floating, you may see higher supply current and may see toggling on the corresponding outputs due to the input state not being defined.)
