USB 2.0 with Type-C connector load current limits question

Question:

If I have a USB 2.0 interface/system with Type-C connector: What initial load current limits am I constrained to?

Non-Type-C USB2.0 ports are limited to 100mA when initially connected, and can then negotiate for higher load current limits (500mA max).

But does a USB 2.0 Type-C (non-PD) port follow the USB 2.0 initial load current limit of 100mA? or is it higher than that - and if so, what is that initial plug-in limit??

Thanks!
