TPS2553: the question of TPS2553

Part Number: TPS2553

In this circuit, what is the difference between TPS2553 and TPS2553-1 when failure occurs?

  • Hi,

Thank you for your interest in TPS2553 and TPS2553-1.

Your picture is too small to read, can you upload a bigger and clearer one?

    Regards,
    Bob
  • In this circuit, EN and FA are connected together. When a fault occurs, TPS2553 will not enter the constant current mode and disconnect the device, which is similar to TPS2553-1. What is the difference between TPS2553 and TPS2553-1 in this case?

  • Hi,

In this case, when fault signal assert, TPS2553 will be disabled, so TPS2553 can't detect whether fault condition is removed and can't resume normal operation until EN is charged to high, which is similar to TPS2553-1.

In my opinion, the behaviors of TPS2553 and TPS2553-1 are same in this case.

    Regards,

    Bob
