TPS2553-1: TPS2553-1 Auto Retry Function

Hi team,

Can TPS2553-1 be used in below circuit for auto retry function?

In my opinion, I don't think it can work like TPS2553 since in latch mode, the fault will be always low during fault condition, so the EN can not be charged to high.

Am I right? Thank you.

Hi, Jack Chen,

From TPS2553 auto-retry example in datasheet, If fault is low, the part will be disabled. Fault will de-assert when EN is low, so EN can be charged to high and Enable the part.

So for TPS2553-1, if Fault will also de-assert when EN is low. So TPS2553-1 is supposed to auto-retry like TPS2553.

Hi, Jack Chen,

I did a test which shows that TPS2553-1 can be used in auto retry circuit. When I removed short from Vout, Vout changed to high.
