ISO6731: Is delay specification tPZH and related in datasheet correct?

Part Number: ISO6731
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ISO7731

The datasheet for ISO6731 states a tPZH delay of max. 23ns, whereas the ISO7731 datasheet shows a tPZH delay of max. 8.5us for the F-version under Vcc=3.3V conditions. This is 100 times more, so I suspect a typo in the ISO6731 datasheet.

Can you confirm this or explain why the delay is suddenly 100 times less compared to the previous generation?

  • Hi Walter,

    Thanks for reaching out.
I understand, such a big difference does create some doubt regarding correctness of the data. I am going to assure you that the tPZH max data that you see in ISO6731 datasheet as 23ns is accurate which otherwise is 8.5µs for ISO7731F. This was specifically looked into to improve while developing ISO67xx family of devices, hence such an improvement.

I hope that clarifies, let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks.
