Good morning
We are using I2c Isolator ISO1640.
To simplify the PCB we have connected, in input, the SDA signal on pin 3 (SCL1) and the SCL signal on pin 2 (SDA1).

Outgoing the same thing.

Is this possible or must the SDA and SCL signals necessarily be connected to the pins indicated in the datasheet?

Hi Maioli,

Thank you for posting to E2E! It is acceptable to connect SDA and SCL signal lines interchangeably on the ISO1640 I2C pins since both channels are bidirectional and functionally identical within the device. The "SDA" and "SCL" pin names on the ISO1640 help maintain consistency across the ISO164x family of devices.
