ISO1042: Device stops transmitting in FDF

Part Number: ISO1042

When trying to transmit at 5 Mbps we see the device transition to the higher speed, but quickly stop transmitting (just right of center on scope shot). In attached scope shot Purple is CANH blue CANL and Red is a math function "CANH - CANL". Any thoughts on why this may be happening? It does not occur if we lower speed to 4 Mbps.

  • Hi Jason,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

ISO1042 is a transceiver which it takes the single-ended signal and outputs a differential CAN signal.

In order to better debugging the issue, could you please provide the following information?

    1. A schematic of your system, or a block diagram of the modules that connected to ISO1042.

    2. Waveforms for TXD, CANH, CANL, VCC2 and GND2.

    Regards,

    Alfred

  • Hi Jason,

I hope you have made good progress in debugging the issue.

Any updates on providing a block diagram that shows the devices that connect to the CAN bus, and the request waveforms?

    Regards,
    Alfred
