ISOUSB211: Linux support

Part Number: ISOUSB211

Does ISOUSB211 intrinsically support Linux?

We tried the EVB with Raspberry-Pi3 and it worked, but would like to confirm.

Thank you.

  • Hi Xueliang,

    Welcome to TI E2E forum!

ISOUSB211 is a USB isolation device at physical layer and it establishes isolated physical connection between two systems that need to be isolated. Although it reads the data stream to understand the roles of the nodes, it doesn't affect the data in anyway by itself and is transparent to the device/host it is isolating. Hence, it doesn't matter what device/host or software it is connected to on either side of ISOUSB211. As long as the device and host can be directly connected and working, they can also be connected through ISOUSB211 and we expect it to work.

I hope that answers your question, thanks.
