ISO1540: about SMBus isolation

Dear TI expert,

currently i design one BMS use BQ4050, which communication type is SMBus, my customer want to use isolation SMbus, if i can add one ISO1540 meet requiremnt.

    Hi,

    Thanks for reaching out and for your interest in ISO1540.

    ISO1540 can be used to isolate SMBus and hence, you can use the device. ISO1540 is our older generation device, we now have ISO1640 that offers higher performance and thus, we recommend you to use ISO1640. Let me know if you have any further questions, thanks.
