ISOUSB211: Isolated USB Module

Hi,

I am looking for an Isolated USB 2.0 (OTG, current rating of 1A) Module for a Product. This interface will be used as External communication for the Product.

So i need an isolated Module which should isolate my circuit from external Interference/noise/EMC.

Module should also have  protection circuitry like short circuit protection, over voltage protection etc. 

Request you to suggest a suitable TI device which will meet my requirement.

    Hi Pedaiah,

    Thanks for reaching out and for showing interest in ISOUSB211.

    We currently have two ISOUSB devices available in 3 packages. These are USB signal isolation devices and they support OTG operation as well. Isolated power supply, if required, need to be designed separately and we have power supply solutions that support 1A (SN6505A and SN6507).

    The devices will isolate the external interference / noise / EMC and protect components on the other side. Since devices are only signal isolation devices, short-circuit protection, over-voltage protection and other power supply related protection features do not apply. The proposed isolated power supply is going to support most of these features when used with suitable post-regulator.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

    1.is there any single device which will take care of both Power and signals? because i do have to worry on BOM Cost and size.

    2.if not, any other solution you suggest for USB interface isolation(Power & signals)?

    Hi Pedaiah,

    Thanks for the follow-up.

    1. Currently ISOUSB111 and ISOUSB211 are the only two isolated USB devices. We do not have any isolated USB devices that integrate power.
    2. The best solution that we have to offer you is a 2-chip solution - "ISOUSB + SN650x".
      1. If you require higher output current on the power supply, you could choose to use a different power supply solution from TI. I noticed you already posted a question related to power supply and I see the power supply team had made you the suggestions. That is the other option for power supply.
